Cuteness to the Max

Of course, my kids are the cutest. Aren't yours? Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for these 2 little lives God has blessed me with. Sure they drive me crazy, but they always seem to put a smile on my face at the end of the day when I kiss them goodnight while they're sleeping. Here's some cuteness.

Grady has been quite the sitter. I love his straight posture. I'm amazed how steady he is.
This face is priceless. This is right before he started getting up on all floors. My tutor says he looks like a turtle when he slowly lifts his head up. Haha. I just can't stop laughing at his cute little face.
And then he got up on all fours. Poor little fella wants to crawl so bad, but right now he's just rocking back and forth.
One more for good measure.
Daddy lovin'
I don't suppose this is really cute at all, but my poor baby had the most random things happen to his left eye. March to April was random eye weirdness month. In March, you saw that he fell and busted his eye in Hong Kong. The week after we got back, our house helper took him out, and he got another scratch. She said 'the bush scratched him.' Mean 'ole bush! Then I noticed one day his eye started getting red. By the next day, he could barely open it because it was swollen shut. We think he had some sort of infection. Anytime we cleaned it and rubbed it with a warm rag it got better. It was completely gone 3 days later. Poor little dude had some experiences, but he's still cute as ever and tough as nails!
Hmmm, note to self: make sure Caden is wearing grunge clothes when eating pudding by himself.
This kid is a mini-iron man. Whenever we come in from being out, Caden always stops by our playground/exercise area to do a little workout. This day, he ran up and just kept lifting these weights. It wasn't too heavy, but I would think for a 2 year old it would be. Made us laugh how he would just pick it up and drop it.
I just cut Caden's hair. I love it short, but it makes him look so old. My little boy is 2 going on 5.
This is the epitome of cuteness to the max.
What kid doesn't love watching a movie while in his own pop-up tent?!
Yes, that's right. Grady has a pink walker. What?! Gender has no color here, so everyone could care less. We're actually borrowing it from some friends who are in the states right now. Grady loves zooming around in it. Caden also loves pushing him around, especially into his room. I love when Grady pushes himself into Caden's room and starts looking around like, "This looks like a fun place."
Caden is not really interested in coloring or drawing on paper, but he loves drawing on our chalkboard paper. I love when he tells me he's going to write someone's name or draw a picture of someone, and it always comes out a line. He's not quite advanced to writing letters, but we're working on it. Apparently I can not write in a straight line.
In the words of Britton, "Only a baby can smell like throw up, have no teeth, be bald and still be cute." I love the giant curl on top of his head in the midst of his baldness. You can't really see, but there are blond whispies coming in.
One of Caden's favorite things to do right now other than puzzles is this matching game. He hasn't advanced to turning them over yet, but he can successfully make 16 matches all by himself.
If you have some time to kill and just want to see my cute kids in action, enjoy these several videos. If you can, wait til you get to the dizzy Caden video because I find it hysterical.

You know it's warming up when...

...all the men start doing this...(that's right, we have the privilege to see this everywhere we walk where the men hike their shirts up over their bellies because they're hot and not the 'looks' kind of hot. I felt like a stalker taking this photo from the inside of my house, but it's better than standng right in front of him!)
This has nothing to do with the weather, but it's some of our new friends who cooked us some awesome food.
Grady loved their little girl even though he looks frightened in this photo.

Family Photos

A few weeks ago, my sweet friend here endured our family once again to take an updated photo of our growing family. She did a great job as always, and I was glad to get a snapshot of us with our city. Thanks, K!

I really wish Caden was smiling in this photo, but he still looks strikingly handsome to me. Grady's face is precious.
This was right before Grady threw up everywhere. Nice.
 Smiles all around.
My sweet sweet boys. Love them dearly. A lot of bribery went into this photo!

Togetherness

We are so very thankful that we have close friends that keep our hearts full of love. We often ask what we're going to do when Caden always asks to see his buds when we leave. Literally, everyday he mentions seeing his 2 best buddies at least 10 or more times. Sometimes he just says their names like I say the word 'um.' He says their names so randomly, it's hilarious. That being said, we're just grateful for a sense of togetherness we have living here.

We recently ventured to have Caden's best bud over for a slumber party. They watched the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while we adults played Settlers of Catan (Britton's bday present). It was a fun night, and the boys seemed to really love it. This photo cracks me up of them in the tub...especially Grady. You should see us trying to get them to smile; obviously, we were not successful!
Both the boys had their own pop-up tents, so we thought they would enjoy sleeping in them. Neither one of them lasted the whole night in their tents, but it was cute nonetheless.
Grady has gotten really mobile here lately, which means he's reaching for Caden any chance he gets. Caden just scoots over and says no, of course. Grady and Caden's worlds are slowing colliding, which I'm sure will be an adventure from here on out. For the most part though, Caden really is sweet to Grady. He'll often bend over and kiss Grady on the head or play with him in the bathtub. He's gotten good at knowing Grady will get a bath at the same time as him, and he does not own the whole tub to himself!
I took this a while back, but there are times when Caden asks us to lay Grady in the bed with him. When we say we're going to let Grady sleep with him, he quickly insists on us taking him because Grady is 'too little.'
We recently had several people in our home, and these two were mesmerized with one another. Absolutely too cute.
