Family, Fun, and Sickness

The rest of our time in SC our first time around was a great time. We found some fun things to do and enjoyed seeing more family.

We saw Britton's 99 year old Great Grandma Cleo. She is such a precious lady.
Precious meeting.
Another precious meeting.
She loves all her boys.
Love her.
Britton's dad has treatments on Monday's, so we all went up to the town he goes to. Donna and I took the boys to a Bouncy House in the mall, and they had a ball.
They liked the rides at the front too. Not too sure about Spiderman though.
Such a huge place, and we had it all to ourselves...the benefit of going when school is in.
Here's some videos of all our fun.

There's not a lot to do in Lancaster, but you improvise when you can. Britton took Caden out one day to the Bowling Alley...and again, had the place to themselves.
Of couse Grady had to have some sickness. He's been so sick this year I don't even remember what he had. It was probably just from new molars. I hate teeth. Thomas the Train helped him feel better.
I love always posting pictures of funny translations I find overseas. I was amused when we took Grady to the doctor and saw this sign. It's not a translation but still humorous.
One of Caden's favorite things he's gotten to do is playing with a 'distant' cousin who is a year older than him and also named Caden. It's so cute watching them play. They love when Mimi takes them to the park and they act like pirates.
I love all these Videos. The first one is of the boys discovering a water fountain. The second one is of Caden wrestling with their cousin, Spencer. And the third is of Grady practicing his golf game.

Pumpkins!!

Pitiful, I know. I'm posting about pumpkins on Christmas. It shouldn't be forgotten though :o) We had a great time going to The Hunter Farms near Lancaster with Britton's mom and grandmother and the boys' cousin, Spencer.

Loved seeing all the pumpkins.
Beautiful day for it.
Time to pick one!
A little tractor ridin' first.
Happy Grady. If only he could actually drive it.
A little maze fun.
Smart boys.
Finished!
Time for a hay ride!
Love it. The canopy was painted by their summer campers.
Ready to go!
I have so missed these big blue skies.
Got to see a cow milked.
...and feed some of the animals.
Always intriguing.
Again, blue skies. I don't remember the sky being so big!
He picked one!
Very strategic.
We came home with quite the loot!
This is the little house we've been staying in.
It took a while, but we cut up, cored, and cooked all those pumpkins.
from start to finish...time for yummy treats!

To South Carolina...Grady turns 2!!

My baby is 2?! What?! I seriously typed that and thought "How did I really miss taking that in?" Grady is getting bigger and so smart, and I'm SO thankful he's been the most healthy in the last month than in the last year! I'm trying so hard now to hold onto those last few moments as he transitions out of being an infant (yes, they're called infants until their 2...crazy, right?!). His baby chubby cheeks are really all that's left hanging on. He's talking SO much more now and very clearly. He loves adores playing with Caden (or Taden as he calls him). He is the absolute best at giving kisses, and although he is sneaky (we call him the sniper), he has such a loving and joyful heart. I love my 2 boys so very much. I love our little family and life with them each day. Though it gets really hectic at times, I treasure every moment. Happy Birthday to my sweet Gray-Gray.

Precious boy. We had just gotten in town late the night before so Pillsbury cinnamon rolls were not only a must but preferred!
That afternoon we had a sweet little backyard party for Grady with friends and family. The weather was awesome, and it was so nice just being in a backyard! Here's a video of the singing and cake time!
Party time!
 He LOVED his ball balloon
 happy brother
 His 'ball' cake.
 Our little family
 love this boy
 present time!
Sweet cousins playing with the new toys.
This can only mean one thing....good sleep for mommy and daddy!! Sleepovers are awesome!

To Virginia...

Our next adventure took us to Virginia to visit with some friends and have some refreshing time after being overseas. It was fun revisiting some places we were at exactly 3 years ago.

Just before we left, I crossed another restaurant off my food bucket list :o) We went to Waffle House. Britton thinks I'm crazy for liking it so much, but I just do. Period. I love that the boys can rock the hats too.
Our long drive north was a rainy one.
 These are always good moments.
Another one crossed off the list!
 These are really good moments!
SO wonderful seeing our dear friends that lived with us for 3 years!
 Love this campus.
 Sweet Frog. Yum.
 The 3 amigos.
 Love her and miss her.
I have a picture of Caden in front of this very globe when he was almost a year old. Love this.
Love this even more. When you catch them in those sweet moments...
