(Well, we are officially back in our city, and although I tried really hard to catch up to real time, I had to dedicate my time to packing our family up for the next 3 years! Sooooo, here we are. Back in February. Don't hate. You can always catch up with us on Instagram!)
I feel like I've titled most posts like this. It's kind of the story of our lives. But alas we headed back to Georgia. We still had 3 more trips to make until our big one overseas, but we enjoyed this travel day a little more making a stop in between.
I love this video of Grady. We ate lunch with Mimi and Grandy at Bojangles one day before we left, and this is Grady's favorite past time with Grandy.
We also ate at IHOP with Mimi and Nana right before we left. It was a very happy breakfast :)
Grady finished his last round of rabies shots. I loved this huge map on the wall. "Where do we live again?"
Got to squeeze in one more cousin spend-the-night party with Mimi.

We headed back on the road on Valentine's Day, so we made a special stop on our way:)
My boys sacked out. I love trips like this.
We stopped in Greenville where Britton and I first met. We met up with some dear friends, enjoyed lunch and walking around downtown. I HAD to go in the Mast General Store! Absolutely LOVE this place. I would have bought so much more, but I got a cute little book about downtown. The smell of this place warms my heart.

We got to have some fun days while in SC. We took full advantage of it all!
Nana wanted to take everyone to the circus. Unfortunately, Grady was running a fever that morning (par for the course) and Britton wasn't feeling well either. So, just Caden and I went with everyone else, but fortunately we were able to give the tickets away.

As we were walking out, Caden yelled, "The Chick-fil-A cow!" Then he insisted on having his picture taken. Ha!
We all ate at Firehouse subs afterward. Caden loved sportin' his firehouse hat and circus nose.
G-man still wasn't feeling great the next day, which was also Superbowl Sunday. We had made plans with friends, but we had to cancel because of sick kiddos. So, we rescheduled and stayed in watching a movie while eating Wendy's. Britton watched the Superbowl. I watched halftime :)
This was so much fun. I LOVE that my boys love the Waffle House. Britton has never been a huge fan, so I took the boys on a little date.
We got to go out to eat at O'Charley's with Mimi and Grandy. I just love that there was more butter than bread. Ha!
We also got to go to Spencer's 3rd birthday party. The boys always love hanging out with their cousin and love to even more when cupcakes are involved!

We rescheduled our party with our friends but kept our meal plan. These red velvet chocolate chip cookies were fabulous!!! The only thing better was laughing with our sweet friends. Going to miss the Hough family and their kids dearly!
I've done endless packing in GA ever since we got back, and we also have taken care of all our medical stuff while there, so it's been really hard to have any kind of normal life. With our traveling dying down and a break from holidays, we finally felt like we were slowing down enough to think and have some normalcy in SC.

One morning, Britton took Grady out while Caden and I snuggled together, made chocolate chip pancakes, had school time, and watched a movie. It was marvelous.
Such a precious time. Love all my boys.
Grady had a series of shots he had to get, so we made a morning out of it for 3 weeks by going to Monkey Joe's. Shot day turned into a fun day with Mimi and inflatable bouncy houses.

This felt the most like normal life. I would totally take the boys to the library on a normal basis if I could. They LOVE picking out new books, and they LOVE story time.
I have truly made it a hobby going to the store. I roam the aisles and add random things to my long list of things to take back. I especially love just taking one kid :)
Our good friends, Brandon and Emily, came over for dinner one night. We had game night and just enjoyed their company. I love how easy dinner is prepared (no dough making involved!), and I love how well they love our boys.
Britton and I had another date night while the boys spent the night at Mimi and Grandy's. We got Sonic Cherry Limeades along with a blondie brownie from Applebee's to eat while we watched "Chuck."
I got to have a fun girl's day with Donna and Jan while we mod podged.
This was the final product. Can't wait to hang this in our home.
I loved taking Caden to Nana's house so he could play with his distant cousin, also named Caden. They love each other. I'm sure going to miss all these new friends.
The day after our build-a-bear fun, we found out Caden had the flu : / It was New Year's Day and most everywhere was closed. Fortunately, a minute clinic stayed open late just for Caden since he was still in the 24 hour window and because he's a kid. The nurse and dr were super sweet in helping us, and they prescribed meds for our family. Praise the Lord none of us got it, but poor Caden had it bad. He got up from not feeling well and didn't last long in Gaga's arms. Poor baby.
We took Grady for his last well check up while here. He had gained a little weight, and it all went well. I just love that he plopped down in the floor and decided that he wanted to read the Bible as his choice of reading while waiting on the dr. What was even better (other than his Mr. Roger's Cardigan) was that he spelled B.I.B.L.E for the doc. Precious.
This boy has pretty much phased out of naps although he still has a rest time. He makes it especially difficult when he keeps getting up because he wants to give me hugs and kisses. Love or manipulation?
We finally finished all of our medical directives to head back overseas! The dentist was our last stop.
BEST breakfast ever!!!! The cinnamon roll french toast rocked my world. I might need to squeeze one more visit to Mimi's Cafe before we go back!
Anytime we have school time with Caden, he wants to teach Grady everything he learned. So cute.
My best friend from high school came from another state to see me! I was SO excited and felt so special. She brought her sweet baby girl, and we had a wonderful morning hanging out and catching up.

Later that day, a got a package that I was so surprised to see because we don't get packages in the US! I opened it up to find huge tubs of Chick-fil-A sauce that my cousin sent me. I was SO excited and will be even more excited to use it when we get back. Thanks Jeff!!
I'd been hassling my parents for a while about building a fire, and they finally did! Since then, we've had countless fires burning, and I've found my new favorite spot in the house. Snuggling with the boys made it even better.
Before heading back to SC, we went to Stone Mountain in hopes of riding the train and maybe the skylift. Well, the train wasn't running and the skylift was ridiculously expensive, so we snapped a family shot then made a plan B. We also checked out Snow Mountain to come back to. This was where Britton proposed to me nearly 8 years ago!
We went to yellow river game ranch down the street instead. We enjoyed feeding all the animals and walking the trail. The peacocks walked the entire trail with us.
There were a ton of doe there all ready to be fed. This poor little deer had a very floppy tongue.
Grady felt sorry for the floppy tongued deer and kept trying to feed it even though the cracker kept falling out of its mouth.
My mom was so excited to be surrounded by peacocks (well the male peacock...they're the prettiest). It's her favorite animal.
The billy goat really stuck his neck out to get fed :)
Back on 85 (our home away from home, wherever home really is). It's always a fun journey though when we pass by Carnesville :)
